Built To Withstand The British Weather

The pressure treatment process gives the timber a slight green tint when new, which naturally fades and weathers to an attractive silver-grey colour over time. This weathering process does not affect the strength or longevity of the structure.

Natural timber movement, including small splits and cracks, may occur as the wood dries and seasons. This is a normal characteristic of timber products and does not affect the structural integrity of the pergola.

Painting & Staining

If you wish to personalise the appearance, we recommend allowing the timber to weather for approximately 2–3 months before applying paint or stain. This ensures the best possible finish and allows any residual treatment moisture to dissipate naturally.
