At Dodds Fencing and Sheds, our summerhouses are built using only the finest Swedish redwood cladding. Our Log Lap Tongue & Groove summerhouses feature 16mm thick redwood cladding — with a Tongue & Groove floor and roof — for exceptional strength and durability. Each T&G structure is supported by dressed framing measuring approximately 38mm x 50mm.
We never use inferior sheet materials, as they simply don’t offer the lifespan or performance of real timber. All our sheds come fitted with heavy-duty polyester roofing felt as standard.
Floor joists are typically spaced at 12″ intervals to ensure a solid, long-lasting base. Our Log Lap T&G sheds are finished with a high-quality, spirit-based treatment. When choosing Log Lap cladding, we always recommend redwood pine over cheaper whitewood spruce — it’s far less prone to knot loss and delivers a superior overall finish.
